Patagonia - Women's Wild Idea Work Boots in South Sioux City NE

Product Information

Long may they roam. We sourced the durable leather for our Chelsea-style pull-on work boots from Wild Idea Buffalo Co. in South Dakota - the same supplier of our Provisions Buffalo Jerky - because of their recognition of the American bison's role in regenerating the prairie ecosystem of the Great Plains. Long treasured over traditional cowhide for its stronger, more durable and elastic material, bison leather is exceptionally breathable, moisture-wicking and conforms to the user's foot over time without losing shape. The leather is tanned at Horween Leather Co. in Chicago using wet-green technology ‚ a vegetable tanning method which uses tannins derived from fallen and waste olive tree leaves. The boots are constructed by Hugal in Portugal using a time-honored genuine Goodyear welt that makes it easy to replace the 30% recycled VibramEcostep soles after years of hard work. With durable elastic side panels and a pull tab on the upper-back, these boots go on quick for chores that can't wait.
